Smart Packaging

Diamond Packaging leads in the digital transformation of products. Our connected packaging options — through anti-diversion (AD) coding and serialization — supports consumer brands' Anti-Counterfeiting and Track and Trace initiatives. Plus, interactive NFC smart tag technology enables brands to connect directly with consumers.

Internet of Things (IoT)

With the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT), smart packaging has emerged as a viable medium to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds.

According to SmithersPira, the global smart packaging market is estimated to grow at an annual rate of 7.5% to $7.8 billion by 2021. Advances in technology are allowing companies the ability to connect with customers in new and exciting ways to ensure product safety and traceability, protect their brands, promote their brands, and facilitate a more engaging user experience — whenever and wherever they are making purchasing decisions.

Seal Vector

Diamond is certified to integrate Advanced Track & Trace® Seal Vector® authenticator tracing code into customer packaging.

Seal Vector®is a highly secured and unique code, enabling authentication, identification, and serialized traceability of a product or a component. It performs three functions:

  1. Allows a brand owner to affix a symbol attesting to their ownership on a physical medium;
  2. Identifies this physical medium by an unreadable and non-decipherable code;
  3. Distinguishes the original symbol from a reproduction.

Features:

  • Can be applied on all types of materials –primary or secondary packaging, or the product itself –using standard printing techniques
  • Decipherable on assembly lines or in the field using readers
  • Easily integrated into folding cartons

Benefits:

  • Improved security, logistics productivity, and quality assurance
  • Cost-efficient
