Diamond Packaging Wins Recognition in Gold Ink Awards Competition

Rochester, NY – Diamond Packaging won recognition in the 25th annual Gold Ink Awards Competition, the industry’s most prestigious print competition, sponsored by Printing Impressions magazine.

This year's Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from over 1,000 entries submitted within 46 different categories. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.

Diamond won a Pewter Award in the Calendars category for its three-month corporate calendar, a long-standing company tradition, and popular promotional item given to customers and suppliers. This year’s jukebox concept takes people back to a nostalgic era — the golden age of rock and roll, drive-in diners, and sock hops. Although popularized in the 1950s, the jukebox is sure to make people of ANY age smile.

The calendar illustrates many of Diamond's capabilities, including creative design, Liquid Metal™ brilliant metallic UV specialty coating, Cast and Cure holographic effects, multi-level embossing, and intricate die cutting.

Environmentally-friendly techniques (Liquid Metal™, Cast and Cure, produced with 100% wind energy) support Diamond's message of creating innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

The Gold Ink Awards & Hall of Fame Gala will take place Monday evening, October 8, 2012, at the Hyatt McCormick Place Hotel in Chicago during GRAPH EXPO 2012. For more information, visit www.goldink.com or contact Mike Cooper at (215) 238-5434 or e-mail mcooper@napco.com.
