Diamond Packaging Wins Recognition in 27th Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition
Rochester, NY – Printing Impressions magazine today announced that Diamond Packaging won recognition in the 27th annual Gold Ink Awards competition, the industry's most prestigious print competition. Winners were chosen from more than 1,400 entries submitted within nearly 50 categories. Entries were judged on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.
Diamond won a Pewter Award in the “Packaging, Rigid” category for Elizabeth Arden’s White Diamonds Gift Set (Mother's Day 2014).
White Diamonds epitomizes singular star quality — radiant, extraordinarily rare, and overwhelmingly beautiful. Elizabeth Arden turned to Diamond for packaging as captivating as the product.
The carton was converted utilizing metallized polyester board and offset printed with transparent gold, transparent purple, transparent lavender, dense black, and opaque white inks, in-line with UV matte and UV high gloss coating. Exquisite dome-embossed round and pear diamonds add beauty and reinforce the White Diamonds brand.
Diamond utilized its QuikSet™ structural design for the project. QuikSet™ provides an attractive and economical alternative to rigid set-up boxes, featuring a reinforced base and lid, direct application of graphics and stamping or embossing, flat shipping and storage, and easy set-up. With crisp, clean lines and outstanding strength, QuikSet™ is a perfect choice for gift sets or promotional items.
Diamond Contract Packaging (DCP) provided fulfillment services, including adding pad stiffeners to the base and lid, fully assembling the vacuum form trays, and polybagging the units. The proximity of DCP, adjacent to its folding carton plant, helped minimize shipping costs and reduce turnaround times.About Diamond Packaging
