Rochester, NY – Diamond Packaging was recognized by the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) for setting the standard of excellence in safety performance for the month of February.
The PPC's Safety Advisory Board is part of the Human Resources Committee. Its purpose is to promote safe work environments in folding carton plants through a pro-active approach to safety.
PPC supports the program through data collection, Safety Program Awards, and Safety Roundtables. The Boxscore program is a monthly compilation of safety data from participating plants. The Boxscore allows participants to compare their safety performance with other folding carton plants of similar size. They give special recognition to plants that reach safety milestones based upon hours worked without an OSHA recordable incident.
Diamond ranked seventh of all of the manufacturing plants with between 20,000 and 40,000 hours per month, with the most hours since the last OSHA recordable event.
Diamond was also recognized for reaching a milestone by logging 125,000 hours without an OSHA recordable event.
