Diamond Packaging continues to differentiate itself from the competition by identifying and developing leading edge designs, technologies and services.

Technical Support
Diamond Packaging continues to differentiate itself from the competition by identifying and developing leading edge designs, technologies and services. As an extension of this philosophy our Technical Team, comprised of printing, finishing and research and development (R&D) specialists, has developed many new products and processes including:

  • An all-digital workflow for improved print quality and turnaround times
  • Advanced quality systems for improved color control
  • Methods of direct printing and converting alternative substrates, including plastic and microflute
  • Foil stamping on plastic
  • New packaging designs to address the FDA-mandated over-the-counter (OTC) labeling requirements
  • Tamper-resistant packaging
  • Rigid window applications
  • Combination packaging, employing both paperboard and plastic substrates
  • Stochastic / frequency modulated (FM) screening
  • Six color process printing
  • Specialty coatings (e.g. pearlescent, Iriodin®, metallized, soft touch, textured, interference, glass, scented)

We continually exceed our customers' design expectations and often "push the envelope" in developing new processes. For example, with the launch of the Gillette® for Women Venus™ shaving system, APET was specified as one of the materials in the razor package. We were uniquely qualified to print, convert, and foil stamp the plastic substrate by means of proprietary manufacturing methods.

Diamond’s Technical Team also regularly assists customers on maximizing productivity of their filling lines. To better understand their needs, members of the team visit the customer’s site to gain an understanding of how we might improve productivity. Our design staff supports these efforts by constantly refining and adjusting packaging structures to optimize filling speeds. Through our exposure to various production lines, in numerous markets around the globe, we are able to apply our knowledge to benefit all of our customers.
