The carton design features a header panel, high quality printed graphics and a die-cut window to display the colorful graphics on the bat itself. The structure also emphasizes the shape of the bat and encourages handling by leaving the handle of the bat exposed, all while dramatically reducing material costs. To simplify fulfillment and reduce costs at the same time, Diamond Packaging designed the one-piece structure with a push-in window to support the bat securely inside the carton. Additional inserts for the protection of the contents were thus eliminated. A further reduction in materials was realized when Diamond Packaging designed the carton to be much smaller than the item inside, reducing paperboard cost by approximately 50%. |
