Diamond Packaging Wins 2014 P&G External Business Partner Excellence Award

Rochester, NY – Diamond Packaging was recognized by Procter & Gamble as one of its top performing external business partners during an event at P&G’s headquarters on January 8, 2015. Diamond won the P&G External Business Partner Excellence Award for the sixth time in the last seven years for consistently performing at high levels as determined by broad-based quantitative and qualitative evaluations from P&G employees throughout the supply chain. Less than 0.1% of P&G's more than 75,000 global suppliers received this distinction for consistent high performance.

Speaking at the event, A.G. Lafley, P&G’s Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer, emphasized innovation, productivity and partnership, saying, “P&G’s ask of you is that you partner with us on innovation. Partner with us on productivity. Let’s work together as partners to create value for each other, for consumers and for our industry.”

Diamond received this award for providing superior packaging solutions for multiple products lines, including P&G's Gillette® division (blades, razors), Old Spice® and Secret® Clinical Strength antiperspirants and deodorants, Crest® 3D White® Whitestrips®, Oral-B power toothbrushes, Pantene® hair care products, and Olay® skin care products. Diamond has also been instrumental in the success of several P&G product launches, including its Gillette® Fusion® ProGlide™ global launch.

“I congratulate all of our award winners,” said Stew Atkinson, Chief Purchasing Officer. “As we move the business forward in a structured, strategic way, our external business partners will continue to play a crucial role in helping us serve the world’s consumers.”

P&G works with all business partners to reach excellence levels, and therefore there is no limit on the number of excellence awards that can be achieved. For more information on P&G's External Business Partner Excellence Awards visit www.pg.com.
